Invite tenants to Rentap

Once you've added the people who live in a property, you can invite them to see their own account and the information you share with them.

Invite by email

  1. Go to People.
  2. Choose Invite by email.
  3. Choose who to invite. Only people with an email address can be invited this way.
  4. Select Send emails.

Each person gets an email with a personal link. When they open it, they create a password (or sign in, if they already use Rentap) and see the rooms linked to them.

If you'd rather send invitations through WhatsApp or a text message, choose Get invite links, then Get links to share. Copy each person's link and send it to them however you like. Each link is personal, so send it only to the person it's for.

How long an invitation lasts

Invitations last 30 days. If one expires, send a new one.

What tenants can see

Tenants only ever see their own rooms and the information shared with them. They can't see other tenants' details or balances.

Do tenants have to pay?

No. Tenants and residents use Rentap free. Only the landlord or company letting the rooms pays.

Someone didn't get their invitation. What can I do?

Ask them to check their spam folder. If it isn't there, send a new invitation or get an invite link and send it to them yourself.
